TCGSpire is an iPhone app. Download it on the App Store and start for free. Requires iOS 18 or later. The app is in English and Spanish and follows your iPhone's language.
What is Review?
When the app recognizes a card but can't confirm its edition or finish, it doesn't guess. The card waits in Review with the likely editions, their reference images and the reason for the doubt. Pick the right one with one tap, or search for it by hand. Cards in Review don't count toward the value until you confirm them.
How does the free allowance count?
The free plan includes 100 scans a week. Every card the app identifies uses one scan, including cards that end up in Review and cards identified in Price check. Captures the app can't identify don't count, and tapping Undo right after a capture gives the scan back. The allowance resets on Monday at 00:00, device time. Deleting cards later doesn't give scans back. Premium scanning is unlimited.
What is Price check?
A scanner mode that shows what a card is worth without adding it to your collection, handy for trades and shops. Split the cards into I give and I get, see the totals and share them as text. With Premium, Price check is unlimited and you can apply the trade to your collection.
Where do the prices come from?
From Scryfall, which publishes Cardmarket prices in euros and TCGplayer prices in US dollars. The app uses US dollars by default across the Americas and euros everywhere else; you can change it in Settings. Prices are for reference only: they are not an offer to buy and don't guarantee a sale price.
How do I move my collection to another app?
In Settings › Collection › Export collection, choose the CSV format of Moxfield, ManaBox, Archidekt, Deckbox or Dragon Shield, or TCGSpire's own format to keep a backup. Exporting is free, and so is restoring a CSV exported from TCGSpire. Importing other apps' files requires Premium.
What does Lock set do?
With Premium, you can limit the scanner to the sets you choose, for example while you sort a booster box or a binder from one set. A card that doesn't match those sets goes to Review instead of being confirmed.
How does iCloud work?
iCloud sync is a Premium option. It uses your private iCloud database to keep your collection on your devices signed in to the same Apple Account; nobody else, including us, can read it. Turn it on or off in Settings. If Premium ends, sync pauses and nothing is deleted.
How do I restore my purchases?
Go to Settings › Your plan › Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with. To cancel the yearly subscription, use the subscription settings of your Apple Account. If Premium ends, you keep your collection and can export it.
What about my privacy?
Recognition happens on your iPhone and your photos aren't sent to any server. There's no TCGSpire account, no ads and no analytics. For prices and reference images, the app only sends Scryfall the public IDs of the printings. Read the details in our privacy policy.
If you've found a problem
Tell us your device, your TCGSpire version and the steps to reproduce it. Don't send passwords, verification codes or full copies of your collection. If you attach a screenshot, hide any personal information first.
Your data
TCGSpire doesn't require an account of its own. You can delete your collection from the app's settings. Everything is explained in our privacy policy.
